Ending the year on a high note, the Chessmates had huge wins at the ICN Championship on June 16. Joshua was ICN Champion for the second time with a perfect score. Emma was fourth in the U1000 and Oliver placed fifth. The team placed second in the U1000 and third in the Open section. Looking for more chess this summer. Keep those chess skills sharp with the chess summer camps.

On June 1, PS11 hosted our second ever chess tournament, and we had a fantastic turnout. Over 200 kids showed up to play and it was a great day of chess. The Chelsea Chessmates scored big , placing second in both the U300 and U1000 sections and cinching first place in the U700 section. A huge shoutout to the ICN coaching team and all the coaches for making this happen.
