PS 11 At The Nationals!

This past weekend 20 of our PS 11 teammates competed at the United States Grade Nationals held in Orlando, Florida. This was our largest Nationals team in program history!

Competing against top players and teams from across the United States, PS 11 once again delivered and was awarded as one of the countries top chess programs.  Our 1st grade team placed 8th and our 5th great team won the 9th place trophy.

This is our 7th consecutive year earning Top Grade National honors. We also had both Emma and Aarush receive individual recognition!

A special thank you for the continued support from our amazing PS 11 PTA, administrators, coaches, parents and the entire PS 11 community!

Congratulations to second grader Aarush for his third place trophy in the U700 section and to Oli for his fourth place trophy in the U1000 section. At Avenues, fifth grader Viggo was first in the classic section with a perfect score. Over at the ICN quads, Indira had a perfect score to win her quad. Wishing our team luck as 20 Chessmates head to Florida next week.
