Weekend in Chess

Huge congrats to our girls' chess team for an amazing turnout at the New York State girls championship this weekend! After a tough day of competition for the k-6 team they continued to fight hard on Sunday and won the second place team award. Congrats Indira, Hilda, Sabella, and Meera!

We ended strong with  Ali coming in 9th in the k-6 under 900, and Emma placing second  in the k-1 championship! We also had two new team members, Rae and Eva, compete in their first ever chess tournament. Congrats everyone, you all did great!

And the boys were not left out. Patrick won 7th place in the Epiphany fall chess tournament on Sunday.

A big day for Sabella with her  first place, perfect score win in the U1000 section, earning her a star. Emma was 8th in the U2000 and Ash was 9th in the U700.
