Did you win an item in the Online Auction? Please help out your parent volunteers and pick up your items from the annex (located near the main entrance to the auditorium) by Wednesday 5/22 between 9-10am. ALL items not picked up by Wednesday at 10am will be shipped flat rate, which begins at $5.95.

Scholastic Book Fair at PS11 May 28-May 31
Can't wait for the Book Fair next week? Shop now online. Check out your teacher's classroom's wish list or send link to family and friends. All books ship free to PS11.
Check your child's home folder flier for date their class will be visiting the book fair. You can send in money with your child that day to purchase a book. Parents will be able to shop the Book Fair during Poetry Night on Wednesday, May 29 and during Family Friday on Thursday, May 30 for all grades except Kindergarten which will be on Friday May 31. All proceeds benefit PS11.

**IMPORTANT NEW SAFETY PROCEDURES**
To make PS11 safer, we are asking all Parents/Guardians of current PreK-4th graders to come to school during your scheduled time to create the following:
1. Family Photo IDs
All parents/guardians will be issued Family Photo IDs to increase security within the school. Each family will receive up to 2 parent/legal guardian IDs. Photo IDs will also be available for step parents upon request (maximum of 2).
2. Electronic Emergency Contact Cards
Families will now input information for "Blue Cards" directly into our school's secured database using iPads located at school. This will allow our teachers to keep a PDF copy of your child's important emergency information on their smart phones so it can be accessed on field trips and at dismissal.
Please come to the Auditorium between 8am-10am on your scheduled day.
(Child care will provided for PS 11 students (only!) on your assigned registration day at 8am)

Please join us for WE DREAM Mural Painting (phase 2)

All are welcome!
Originally scheduled for October, but delayed by Hurricane Sandy, phase 2 of our “We Dream” Mural Painting project is finally here. Artwork submitted by students in the fall has been transposed in black and white outline onto the Big Yard walls.
All students are welcome to come fill in the drawings with color, but please remember all children must be accompanied by and supervised by a grownup at all times on the day of the event. Hope to see you there!

Join us at the latest SLT Workshop: Poetry Night!

Don’t miss this live reading of original poetry from our talented poets from each grade at PS11.
Following the reading, please join us for a free wrap sandwich and view more poetry. Every student will have poetry on display. And come shop for summer reading books! The Scholastic Book Fair will be open during the event and runs May 28–31st. All proceeds support our classroom libraries and great programs for our kids!
PLEASE BE ON TIME as seating in the auditorium is limited! Translation available upon request. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

All parents and/or guardians are invited to join their child in his/her classroom from 8:50–9:35 am.
3rd, 4th and 5th grade families, there is a special format for this Family Thursday: Don't miss the opportunity to attend an Enrichment class with your child on Thursday, May 30th! Come and experience their class firsthand at 8:50 on Family Thursday!
