Congratulations to all 20 of our Fourth-Grade Spelling Bee participants and our 2 Champs!
After a qualifying test, 10 Finalists competed in our Fourth-Grade Spelling Bee on October 15th.
Co-Champions Amy & Isabelle are now preparing to join Fifth Graders in the PS11 School Spelling Bee on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Join us! Todd Strasser will be our Pronouncer. You can bring a book for him to sign afterward!

PS11 2nd Annual PS11 Spelling Bee!
Fifth-Grade registration is now closed.
Fourth Graders may continue to register until Tuesday, October 13th:
Spelling Bee Dates:
• 10/14 Qualifier tests during lunch (11:22-1:22)
• 10/15 Fourth-Grade Bee 1:30pm
• 10/15 Fifth-Grade Runoff during lunch (12:22-1:22)
• 11/18 School Bee 6:30 pm
This year, PS11 will offer two spelling bees for Fourth and Fifth Graders! Participants will take a grade-specific qualifying test on October 14th during lunch period.
The top 10 Fourth Graders will compete in a Fourth-Grade Spelling Bee assembly for the Third and Fourth Grades on October 15th at 1:30 pm (parents of participants will be invited to attend).
The top 20 Fifth Graders and top 2 finishers from the Fourth-Grade Spelling Bee will compete in our School Spelling Bee on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:30 pm.
The top 3 Fifth-Grade finishers at our School Spelling Bee will advance to the Manhattan District Spelling Bee in early 2016, where they will have the opportunity to qualify for the Daily News New York Citywide Spelling Bee (a qualifier for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. that will take place in May 2016).
A SEPARATE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR EACH STUDENT.
