PS11 Farm to Table Group

PS11's Fall 2017 Farm to Table Harvest Celebration
Wednesday November 15th
Cafeteria

As a Garden and Farm to Café school, twice a year we celebrate the fact that our cafeteria can cook and serve the organic herbs and produce that our children grow in the PS11 Garden and sell at the Farm Market.

During lunch all children are welcome to taste test “3rd Grade Picked Popcorn 3 Ways” and assorted “Fall Roasted Vegetables” prepared by the PS11 afterschool cooking class and served by the newly elected Student Council.

The PS11 Farm to Table Group: a group of parent volunteers and Debbie Osborne, enthusiastic about healthy living and eating. We teach our children about where our food comes from, environmental stewardship and farm to table ideas. We maintain the garden, the edible garden, tend to the chickens, teach healthy cooking, run the farmer's market, composting and many other exciting programs at our school. We meet regularly on a monthly basis to plan activities for students. Please join us.

Join our group and watch our latest video here.
