Student Council initiatives 2012/13
The new 2012/13 PS11 Student Council, headed by President Elizabeth and Vice President Adrian, has chosen monthly Spirit Days:
Crazy Hat Day 12/21
Dress up as your favorite character 1/25
Grade color code contest (Students in esch grade will wear same color shirts) 3/1
Pajama Day Postponed until 5/3
Sports Day ?

Wacky Mismatch Day 6/21

The 2011-12 PS11 Student Council is also working with the PS11 Kids Care Club to collect much needed food for the needy during the We CAN Do It canned food drive. From December 12-22nd, we’re collecting: Canned fruits and vegetables, Peanut Butter (plastic jars), Mac & Cheese (packages), Hot and cold cereal (packaged, family sized). Donations will be picked up from PS 11 on December 22nd by City Harvest, the world's first food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding the city's hungry men, women, and children.
The 2011-12 PS11 Student Council also plans to work together to run the PS11 Talent Show, held in February.

During the 2010-2011 school year, the Student Council began a recycling initiative, that will continue into the 2011-12 school year. Last year, the council also had a special visit with former Mayor David Dinkins, who spoke about leadership, and personal determination.
